AustDrive 1 – Youth Driver Awareness Program

AustDrive 1 is a practical and interactive youth defensive driving program designed for learner and probationary drivers aged 16–21. The course focuses on developing hazard awareness, safe decision-making, and preventative driving strategies that go beyond standard learner training.

Participants will gain a realistic understanding of their driving abilities through engaging theory sessions and practical driving exercises conducted in their own vehicle. The program promotes safe driving habits, risk awareness, and road safety skills aligned with Australian road laws and best-practice defensive driving principles.

A reminder that a fully-licensed driver must accompany L-Plate drivers and each participant needs to provide a vehicle.

We are pleased to provide free tea, coffee and biscuits whilst you are at the Centre. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or purchase from the nearby Harrow Post café and bring it back to the Centre.
