This program is designed to develop preventative 4WD skills by aligning techniques to Worlds Best Practice. Our Instructors train and then assess each participant to a required standard of compliance with a client’s company driving and motor vehicle policies to identify competency and capability. This program develops the attributes and handling characteristics of a typical 4 Wheel Drive in accordance with specific regulations. We formulate driving techniques to safely operate a 4WD on sealed and unsealed road surfaces and various terrain on land transportation activities within field operations. Another elements of the practical training includes how to safely operate a 4 Wheel Drive in ‘off road’ conditions and be able to self recover an immobilised vehicle by driver technique or / and with the use of recovery equipment.

Our instructors train and then assess each participant to a required standard of compliance with a client’s company driving and motor vehicle policies to identify competency and capability. This unit is appropriate for those working in supervisory and technical specialist roles. Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and Industry sectors. Relevant information must be sourced prior to application of the unit.

AHCMOM216 Operate Side by Side Utility vehicles (UTVs)
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a side by side utility vehicle including undertaking pre-start checks and shut down procedures. This program is suitable for individuals who operate side by side utility vehicles to undertake routine work under general supervision with limited autonomy and accountability. Vehicle must be operated according to relevant state/territory licensing authority vehicle licence requirements and regulations. No occupational licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
This training teaches the attributes and handling characteristics of a UTV, how to reduce risks by using safe practices and procedures, identifying hazards and knowing the capability of the UTV and the environment you are riding in.
This intensive course consists of Theory and Practical defensive and safety techniques.

This unit includes identification and confirmation of work requirement, preparation for work, safe driving, manoeuvring and parking of trailer(s), disconnecting trailer(s) from vehicle and completion of work finalisation processes, including clean-up and documentation. This unit of competency applies to:
