The Australian Driving Institute offers Accredited and Non-Accredited programs for All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), Side by Side Utility Vehicles (UTVs) and Quad Bikes. 

Site Specific Side by Side Training 

This program develops the skills and knowledge of participants whom are required to safely operate a side by side utility vehicle including undertaking pre-start checks and shut down procedures. This program is suitable for individuals who operate side by side utility vehicles to undertake routine work under general supervision with limited autonomy and accountability. The vehicle must be operated according to relevant state/territory licensing authority vehicle licence requirements and regulations. No occupational licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.


This training teaches the attributes and handling characteristics of a UTV, how to reduce risks by using safe practices and procedures, identifying hazards and knowing the capability of the UTV and the environment you are riding in.

 

This intensive program consists of theory and practical defensive and safety techniques.

 

Course Includes

  • Prepare a UTV for operation.

  • Operate a UTV.

  • Complete and check UTV operation.

  • A certificate of attendance is provided upon successful completion of this program

Operate Quad Bikes - Awareness   

Learn the necessary skills for riding a Quad Bike within legislative requirements and enterprise guidelines in this non-accredited program. This program describes the skills and knowledge required to safely operate quad bikes including undertaking pre-start checks and shut down procedures.

This training teaches the attributes and handling characteristics of a Quad Bike, how to reduce risks by using safe practices and procedures, identifying hazards and knowing the capability of the Quad Bike and the environment you are riding in.
