AUSTDRIVE Youth Driver Awareness Program
The AUSTDRIVE Youth Driver Awareness Program is designed for young drivers aged 16–21 who hold a Learner's or Provisional licence.
Going beyond standard learner driver training, the program combines engaging theory sessions with practical, hands-on driving activities to help participants better understand vehicle dynamics, hazard perception, defensive driving techniques, and the importance of making safe decisions behind the wheel.
Rather than simply teaching participants how to drive, the course is designed to give young drivers a realistic understanding of their current driving abilities and increase their awareness of the risks they may face on the road. The focus is on building confidence through knowledge and experience—not overconfidence.
Prevention is always better than cure when lives are at risk.
